Five ingredients and a single dish. Chicken thighs are coated in melted butter, hot sauce and minced garlic, then double cream is stirred through partway so the sauce emulsifies rather than splitting. Adding the cream at the start is the common mistake here, because thirty minutes of direct heat will break it. Thighs rather than breasts matter too, since the higher fat content keeps them tender across a longer bake and stands up to the acidity of the hot sauce. It serves two and takes forty minutes start to finish, most of it hands off. Serve with celery sticks and blue cheese, or spoon the sauce over cauliflower rice.

Ingredients
20g Butter (melted)
1 tbsp Hot Sauce
2 cloves Garlic (minced)
30g Double Cream
2 Chicken Thighs
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 200°C / 180°C fan / Gas mark 5.
Combine the hot sauce, butter, minced garlic and double cream in a bowl until you have a creamy sauce.
Place the chicken thighs in an oven-proof dish. Pour over the sauce and ensure the meat is fully coated in the mix.
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes, removing halfway through to turn the thighs over and baste with any sauce pooling at the bottom of the dish.
