If you're preparing a finished pizza, preheat your oven to 175°C, otherwise, you can skip this step!
Combine the flour, olive oil, water, and a good sprinkle of salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl until you reach a sticky dough. Be careful not to over-mix, as this will lead to a tough pizza base.
Place a large frying pan on a medium heat.
Place the ball of dough between two sheets of baking parchment approximately 30cm square. Roll out into a flat disc—the baking parchment will prevent the dough sticking to your rolling pin!
Place your pizza base in the large frying pan and dry fry for 3-4 minutes on each side.
Place base on a cooling rack for 5 minutes. If you're preparing a finished pizza, use this time to prepare your toppings!
Add your toppings to your base and place in the oven. Bake for approximately 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and your toppings are cooked through.
Why not try adding dried herbs, such as oregano, to your mix? Or spice things up with a sprinkle of paprika or chilli flakes.
If adding meat to your pizza, be sure to cook it through before using it as a topping.
